DIAGNOdent

The DIAGNOdent , is a small instrument that uses harmless laser light to search for hidden decay. This technology allows you to receive instant feedback on the health of your teeth. The pen like probe easily glides over tooth surfaces constantly checking the health of the tooth. A number scale and an alarm signals the operator when there are signs of hidden decay.
More and more patients place value on healthy and attractive teeth. In order to maintain them, the earliest possible care is essential. DIAGNOdent aids in the detection of caries. Even small amounts of decay can be detected early, enabling you to protect and preserve your tooth structure.

Cerec - Crown restorations completed in one visit.

Through the use of advanced dental technology the Cerec Cad/cam machine can produce an E-max porcelain crown in just one visit. This eliminates the need for messy impressions, fragile temporaries and a second visit to the office. A digital image is taken of the tooth and Cerec software then creates a custom design of the crown. The Cerec milling unit then produces the restoration and it is permanently cemented the same visit. Each of these steps are done over a 1-2 hour period, producing an aesthetically-pleasing restoration while you sit back and relax.

Digital X-rays

Dental radiographs are a necessity for a thorough dental examination. We routinely take a full series of x-rays every 5 - 7 years and on all new patients. Additional radiographs are then taken in sets of 4 every 12-18 months. Dental X-rays are very important to diagnosing the health of your mouth. They show areas of decay that can not be seen by the naked eye, indicate whether a tooth has infection or an abscess, and help determine the condition of previous fillings, crowns and root canals. Dental X-rays can also reveal bone loss from periodontal disease, locate tarter buildup, and detect cysts or tumors.

Ivoclar Vivadent Odyssey Laser

The laser performs minor surgical procedures and reduces bacteria from the area at the same time. Sutures are rarely needed for laser wounds and many soft tissue procedures around the gingiva can be completed without anesthesia for greater comfort.
